IBPS AFO — Agricultural Field Officer
Eligibility: Degree in Agriculture/Allied subjects (Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering)
Exam Pattern:
•Prelims: Reasoning (35), English (35), Quantitative (35) — 105 marks, 1 hour
•Mains: Reasoning (50), English (40), Quantitative (50), General Awareness (40), Professional Knowledge (60) — 200 marks, 2.5 hours
•Interview: 100 marks

•Agronomy: Crop production, soil-water-plant relationships

ICAR JRF — Junior Research Fellowship
Eligibility: B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture or equivalent (55% for General, 50% for SC/ST)
Exam Pattern: 120 MCQs — Part A (30 Qs: General Science, Mathematics, Reasoning) + Part B (90 Qs: subject-specific)
JRF benefits:
•Fellowship: ₹31,000/month (first 2 years) → ₹35,000/month (after upgrading to SRF)
•Contingency grant: ₹20,000/year
•Leads to Ph.D. + career as scientist, professor, researcher at ICAR institutes
