Average time budget: ~48 sec/question, weighted toward Legal + Logical Reasoning, less toward Current Affairs/GK and Quant.

Legal Reasoning — the method (3 steps)

1.Read the stated principle in isolation first

2.Map facts to the principle's specific conditions

3.Apply mechanically — even if the outcome feels unfair

Common principle areas and their typical twist:

Logical Reasoning — quick rules

•"Some X are Y" does not imply "All X are Y"

•A universal statement doesn't reverse: "All A are B" ≠ "All B are A"

•Syllogism conclusions must follow strictly from the stated premises — not from real-world plausibility

Negative marking — guess or skip?

Distractor pattern (English + Legal Reasoning)

A wrong option often reuses a word or fact from the passage/principle without correctly answering what's actually asked. Check: does this option answer the question, or just reference something true from the text?

Post-2020 pattern shift

Old pattern: static legal-knowledge recall. Current pattern: principle + fact application, general reasoning. Older prep material/question banks skew toward the outdated skill — verify any external material's vintage before relying on it.

Counselling — float vs. freeze

Missing a round's response deadline can produce a worse outcome than the rank alone would suggest — track deadlines as carefully as the exam itself.

Final 2–3 week revision loop

Full-length timed mocks → categorize every wrong answer as method error / content gap / time-pressure error → fix each with the matching remedy (redrill method / add to current-affairs log / adjust pacing) — don't treat all three the same.
