Question selection order: which questions to attempt first, deliberately

A common, costly mistake: attempting questions strictly in the
  order they appear in the paper, spending equal time on a
  30-second recall question and a 3-minute calculation question
  encountered back to back

A better strategy — TWO PASSES:
  Pass 1: Go through the full paper, attempting only questions
    you can answer confidently within ~30-45 seconds — skip
    anything requiring real thought, mark it for pass 2
  Pass 2: Return to marked questions with remaining time,
    now working through genuinely harder/slower questions
    with a clear picture of how much time actually remains

This two-pass strategy directly protects against a real, common failure mode: spending 4 minutes stuck on one difficult question early in the paper, only to run out of time later and leave several easy, fast questions completely unattempted — those unattempted easy questions represent pure lost marks that a strict question-order approach risks losing unnecessarily. Practicing this two-pass approach specifically during mock tests (not attempting it for the first time on the actual exam) is what makes it a reliable habit rather than a plan that falls apart under real exam pressure.

Subject-order strategy: which subject to start with, and why it's personal

Common approaches, each with real tradeoffs:
  Start with Biology — highest mark value (360/720), often
    fastest per question; builds early momentum and confidence
  Start with your personally strongest subject — maximizes
    early scoring while mental sharpness is highest (fatigue
    accumulates across 3 hours)
  Start with Chemistry — often has more short, direct-recall
    questions mixed with calculation ones, a chance to warm up

There's no single universally correct subject order — the right choice depends on genuine personal strength and pacing, which is exactly why this should be decided and practiced consistently across multiple mocks (not changed mock to mock) so the strategy itself becomes automatic and isn't a decision being made fresh under exam-day pressure. Changing strategy on exam day itself, based on how the paper "feels" in the moment, is generally worse than sticking with a strategy already validated across many practice mocks.

Applying spaced repetition specifically to mock test mistakes

The Overview tab's spaced repetition schedule for Biology content applies directly, and arguably more powerfully, to the specific mistakes identified through mock analysis — not just to fresh content:

Mock mistake → immediate note (what, why wrong, correct concept)
Day 1: Revisit the specific mistake, confirm understanding
Day 3: Quick self-test on that specific concept
Day 7: Check retention again
Day 21: Final confirmation before it's considered "fixed"

This is MORE targeted than general spaced repetition of textbook
  content, because it's specifically addressing a confirmed,
  real gap (a mistake you actually made) rather than reviewing
  content generally, some of which you may already know solidly

A mistake log reviewed with this spacing, specifically tied to mocks rather than general study material, is a genuinely higher-leverage use of revision time than re-reading textbook chapters broadly — it directly targets confirmed weak points rather than spreading review time evenly across material regardless of whether it's already well-understood.

Accuracy vs. attempt rate: the tradeoff worth deliberately tracking

Two different failure patterns, requiring different fixes:
  Low attempt rate, high accuracy on attempted — time management
    problem (too slow, or too conservative about guessing) —
    fix: two-pass strategy, faster subject sections
  High attempt rate, low accuracy — knowledge/confidence problem,
    likely attempting questions without genuine confidence —
    fix: more conservative attempt strategy (per the negative-
    marking EV discussion on Fundamentals), and targeted content
    review for the specific weak topics being over-attempted

Tracking both numbers separately across mocks (not just overall score) reveals which of these two genuinely different problems is actually limiting your score — a candidate with a time-management problem needs a completely different fix than one with a knowledge-confidence problem, and treating both the same way (just "take more mocks") misses the actual, specific, fixable cause.

Chapter-wise weak-topic identification, done systematically

After every 10 full mocks, from the Overview tab's own guidance:
  1. Tally wrong answers by specific topic/chapter, not just
     by subject
  2. Rank topics by total marks lost (frequency × mark value),
     not just by number of wrong answers
  3. The top 5 topics by marks lost get dedicated, scheduled
     revision time — not just "I'll review this sometime"

Ranking by marks lost rather than raw wrong-answer count matters because a frequently-tested, high-mark-value topic with a moderate error rate can represent more total lost marks than a rarely-tested topic with a higher error rate — prioritizing revision time by actual score impact, not just error frequency, is what makes this analysis step translate into genuine score improvement rather than just interesting data.
